Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website, booking a service, or engaging with Smart My Home in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to all of these terms, you must not use our services.

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. Your continued use of our services following any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

Our Services

Smart My Home provides independent home services including but not limited to:

• Plumbing and carpentry repairs and installations
• Electrical installation, repair, and inspection
• Home cleaning and sanitation services
• AC and home appliance repair and maintenance
• Technology setup, networking, and device repair
• Beauty and wellness treatments at home
• Pest control treatments

All services are subject to availability in your area. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.

Booking & Scheduling

Bookings can be made through our website, by phone, or by email. A booking is confirmed only when you receive a written confirmation from us.

You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information when making a booking
• Ensure that an adult (18+) is present at the property during the service
• Ensure the service professional has safe and reasonable access to the areas where work is to be performed
• Notify us of any pre-existing damage, hazards, or relevant conditions at the property before service begins

We aim to arrive within the agreed time window but cannot guarantee exact arrival times due to traffic, weather, or prior job overruns. We will notify you of any significant delays.

Payment Terms

Prices for services are as quoted at the time of booking. All prices are in US Dollars (USD) unless stated otherwise.

• Payment is due upon completion of the service unless otherwise agreed in writing
• We accept cash, cheque, and major credit/debit cards
• For larger projects (over $500), a deposit of up to 30% may be required at the time of booking
• Invoices are due within 14 days of issue unless otherwise stated
• Late payments may incur a 1.5% monthly interest charge on the outstanding balance

Any additional work identified on-site beyond the original scope will be quoted and must be agreed upon before proceeding. We will not charge for additional work without your prior approval.

Cancellation Policy

We understand plans can change. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

• More than 24 hours notice: Free cancellation, full refund of any deposit paid
• Less than 24 hours notice: A cancellation fee of up to 25% of the service value may apply
• Same-day cancellations: A fee of up to 50% of the quoted service value may apply to cover the professional's time and travel costs
• No-show: The full service fee may be charged if we arrive and cannot gain access, or if the customer is not present

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a booking in the event of extreme weather, professional illness, or circumstances beyond our control. We will contact you as early as possible and offer a full refund or rescheduling.

Customer Obligations

You agree to treat our service professionals with respect and courtesy. We have a zero-tolerance policy towards verbal abuse, harassment, threats, or unsafe working conditions. We reserve the right to withdraw our professionals from any situation where their safety or wellbeing is at risk, and in such cases the full service fee may still be charged.

You are responsible for securing valuables and ensuring pets are contained during service visits. We are not liable for any damage caused by unsecured pets or access to restricted areas.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Smart My Home and its officers, employees, agents, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

• Use of or inability to use our services
• Any errors or omissions in the services provided
• Damage to property not directly caused by negligence of our professionals
• Data loss or device malfunction following a technician service
• Pre-existing conditions or undisclosed hazards at the property

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from a service shall not exceed the amount paid for that specific service. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability, so the above may not fully apply to you.

Service Warranty

We stand behind the quality of our work. All services include a 30-day workmanship warranty from the date of service completion. If an issue arises directly related to our work within this period, we will return to rectify it at no additional charge.

The warranty does not cover:

• Damage caused by misuse, negligence, or third-party interference
• Natural wear and tear
• Pre-existing conditions or issues unrelated to our work
• Parts and materials (which carry their own manufacturer warranties)

Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, images, and software — is the property of Smart My Home and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Franklin County, Ohio.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. It is your responsibility to check this page periodically. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
